Alex von der Polizei in Kampala hat unsere Unterkunft und damit auch uns bewacht, womit das gefaehrlichste in diesem Land fuer uns hoechstens noch das Taxifahren ist. Taxis heissen hier naemlich Boda-Boda und sind leichte indische oder chinesische Motorraeder, auf denen mindestens zwei Passagiere Platz haben. Nicht dass es keine Taxis in unserem Sinne gaebe, doch mit denen kommt man hoechstens bis zum naechsten Stau – und der ist in Kampala selten mehr als ein paar hundert Meter entfernt…
Alex from the Kampala Police guarded our hostel and so also guarded us and therefore we feel really save – the only remaining dangerous thing is taking a taxi. Cause taxis are here called boda-bodas and are usually light indian or chinese motorbikes that take at least two passengers. There are “normal” taxis, too – but those may take you just to the next traffic jam, which in kampala is never further than some hundred meters away…
